It will be shot on HDV but will be in black and white. It will be a short chronicle of the man’s life and what he’s gone through up until this point and his wonderful attitude given everything he has gone through. It will be called “Chronicle of an Old Man” and I’m looking forward to shooting this piece. Meelad has a great vision for this film and hopefully I’ll be able to take it there for him cinematically. It’s good to be back in DP mode after camera assisting all summer. I will also start gaffing on several other films this year to broaden my film horizons. Man, that sounded stupid. =P

It was a long process but I’m quite happy with what we have accomplished through it. The film will be screened on April 11th, 2007 at York University, Accolade East Building in the Price Family Cinema at 7:00pm. The admission for the screening is free and everyone is welcome.

I’ve also uploaded a large amount of Production Stills from 2 of the 5 shoots I’ve been on, hopefully you all will enjoy them.

Despite the freezing weather yesterday everything ran smoothly and I definitely look forward to seeing this one in it’s final stages.

Gint is still currently being edited. It’s coming to it’s final edit now. The next thing left to work on is sound and then just wait until April 11th and it will finally be released. Everything is running on schedule so far.

We just finished screening the rushes today and everyone is quite happy. Editing will begin shortly and hopefully I’ll have something to post up here.

I’ll also be working on 2 more shoots this upcoming weekend. Friday March 10th, I will be on the set of Interfaced by Ariana Andrei and Director of Photography Joe Krumins which definitely appears to be quite promising. Saturday March 11th, I will be on the set of After These Messages by Natalie Sirianni and Tess Marie Garneau, again another great script that should definitely produce some great visuals. I might not update for a while, as you can see I’m quite busy but check back often in case I do.

I’ve been working on a lot of film projects both my own and others. I was 2nd AC on a film by director Justin Davey entitled “The Twentieth Chapter” at the beginning of February. I’m also currently DPing on an upcoming short film called “Gint”.

Gint is a five minute, black & white surrealist film starring Adam Bradley. It was written by Brad Tinmouth and I later revised it and added some of my ideas to it. It’s about a guy who one day tries to leave his house but finds out that his house rather he doesn’t leave and through this process his home begins to play mind games with him.

It will be shot this upcoming weekend (March 2nd - 4th) and hopefully will be a lot of fun. I know I said I’d post my other films up here a while back but due to money restrictions I haven’t been able to get them transfered to video, but I guarentee Gint will be transfered. The slated release date for the film is April 11th, 2007. It will be screened at York University and then later released on this site so stay tuned!
